While capturing Danny at the contests has winded down, any opportunity I get to shoot a special trip or project with Dan I try to drop everything to join. The beginning of 2017 started with one of the best snowboard trips I have been on to Kitzsteinhorn, Austria. Throughout the season we did some backcountry shooting in Tahoe and then I was able to head out for Danny’s alternative project to Peace Park - Turning Man at Baldface lodge in Canada. Throughout all the adventures one of the most proud achievements of my career was getting principle cinematography for Danny’s 2018 movie All In A Dream.

Beyond the Dream

Danny hosts an event with 15 of his favorite snowboarders at the "powder prison" aka Baldface Lodge BC. In the middle of a non-stop blizzard of snow, join in the party lapping in powder fields, session massive jumps infront of the lodge, and 15 person hi-speed cat track sessions with your host Danny Davis and Baldface lodge owner and fandom Jeff Pensiero.

A celebration of life party at Baldface Lodge we meet Torstein Horgmo as he slays road gaps, tree bonks, and cat built mega jumps along with the other talented riders. Meet Mark Landvik and learn about Mark as a now legend feeding off the younger riders that are tomorrows big names.

We learn about Dannys passion for transition and how it will always be apart of his life. We adventure with Danny to slushy summertime Mt Hood Oregon and learn this is where it all started for him as a kid finding when himself as a snowboarder back in the day.

Danny goes to the deepest realm in the southern hemisphere. The Andes. Meet Nick Russell, Dannys life long friend and roommate along with Wyatt Stasnos, the silent assassin when it comes to snowboarding. Learn from the pros what it means and what it takes to climb, dissect and descend big peaks.

Nick Russell, Wyatt Stasnos, and Danny Davis tread lightly on new snow with crampons and ice axes in hand. Beautiful drone footage and large perspectives is the look coupled with close and personal moments of friendships and the 3 adventure travel and camp with new discoveries of steep and risky mountain descents.

AUSTRIA 2017

I haven't ridden this much in the fall ever. This is our edit from 10 days in Kitzsteinhorn, Austria. Big thank you to Monica and Christian at the Gasthof Muhle in Kaprun for showing us the best time possible in Austria.

RIDE AND SEEK

DANNY DAVIS 16/17

An incredible season with Danny featuring the contest drive and also some backcountry exploration with the bountiful snow we were blessed with. Check out House of Dan a 4 day project where in Danny's backyard we built several runs and then with movie magic linked it all together to look like one big run. Daowaga Daze was my first official week filming in the backcountry and whether we were split-boarding, snowshoeing or occasionally snowmobiling we filmed for 7 days straight in some of the best powder Danny has ridden in Tahoe. A great season made the goods in the high country worth working for in the spring and in May of 2017 we ventured out for one of my biggest achievements which was a 6 day self supported traverse through the Sierras we dibbed High Country Caravan. Daowaga translates as "the shores of the lake" and is what Tahoe is referred to by the indigenous Washoe people. "Daowaga Daze" was filmed in seven days over President's Week. Due to long lift lines and resort closures the boys resorted to split boards, snowshoes and snowmobiles as their means to access the mountains. Over 30 miles we set up camp in 3 different locations and the crew (consisting of Jeremy Jones, Danny, Nick Russell, Kevin Pearce and friends) summited and shredded a handful of peaks that may have never been ridden before.

DANNY DAVIS 15/16

Accompanied Danny Davis on much of his 2015/2016 competition circuit starting with the LAAX Open in LAAX, Switzerland then to a practice session in Park City, Utah before heading to the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado afterwards we headed back over to Europe for the Oslo X Games in Oslo, Norway and then finished up at the Burton US Open in Vail, Colorado.
